NYC Service

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

I'm interested in this opportunity

Did you know that this year hundreds of academically talented high school graduates from first-generation and low-income families here in New York City choose not to attend college because they mistakenly believe they cannot afford it? The truth is, there are resources out there to help them, and we are inviting you to be a part of a program that makes these college dreams a reality for these eager, young people.

College Goal Sunday is a nationwide program that is making real progress addressing this issue by helping tens of thousands of students in need complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Here in New York, College Goal Sunday is only three years old and already one of the most successful programs in the country. New York’s program ensures high-need students get government financial aid by helping them file an on-line FAFSA. The FAFSA is an essential first step to attaining higher education aspirations.
